University Students. This is unacceptable. Since the student's strike on Monday 9th February 2015, the gate-pass has been part of the punishment that Chuka University students received apart from the Ksh. 1999 Fine. so you will only attend your first class after you clear your areas. But seemingly, most student cant afford paying fee as early as mid semester, so they do not attend lectures maybe until the time for final exams. 

When you walk around you will find sign board saying chuka university is a corruption free zone. A friend said this is Kenya immediately after reading that.

Recently received an email from a concerned student, I dont know if that's the best way to put it.
the Email read, "Hello, Please I need urgent help, I lost my gate pass, so I tried using my roommate's to pass the gate nkienda (while going) to the finance office to claim another. little did i know what was waiting for me... Satan is Real! I was caught. i explained my case but no one could listen. I was taken to the head of security I think. as you understand this is an offence, using someone's gate pass (ID) to access services in the institution.

This is where I got fixed. I'm to be taken to disciplinary and that may mean to termination of my studies in Chuka university. So I pleaded. Knelt down and asked anything I could do to save myself. He asked do "Leta 10k." Eii... where would I remove such kind of cash? I asked them to go and confirm with the finance department if I had not payed fee but all they kept saying was, wewe ni mwizi, tumeona wengi kama wewe. Fairly I had finished my Fee. to cut the story short, I asked for some time to raise that amount, I sold my phone at 6k and tol him that's all I could raise. I still don't know my fate yet. Please post to expose these rot.
